Why did you join the Vérité team?

With my most recent role working for Crump Insurance Services in their premium finance department for the past 16 years, I decided that if I ever moved to another company, I wanted two key aspects: to work with individuals whose values align with mine, and to leverage the relationships I have built over my 25-year career in the industry to help achieve better outcomes for all parties involved. Having worked in alliance with Verite in the past, I have always respected the way the firm operates and look forward to continuing to add value to the team.

What are you most passionate about in your work?

I am most passionate about watching the (premium finance) process evolve from start to finish.  I enjoy the initial design, case management, underwriting, funding, policy delivery to the client – I really like seeing all the pieces fall into place.

What does Expanding What’s Possible mean to you?

For me, ‘Expanding What’s Possible’ means figuring out a way to purchase the optimal amount of life insurance that you need, while not taking away from other commitments, and then developing a conservative exit strategy to make the whole plan work.

Why is Truth and Transparency so important when working with a Premium Finance Professional?

I believe that the concept of truth and transparency is vital in any professional setting, but especially when transacting in premium financed life insurance.  I have always practiced the principles and mindset of teaching and explaining how things work, from all aspects of risk and reward.  This allows everyone to have a full understanding of what is involved in the transaction and keep the momentum of the case moving forward.

What is your most rewarding client experience?

During my tenure at Crump, I had a neat experience sitting in on a sales presentation where the agent presented to seven high net worth individuals and sealed the deal on all seven premium financed cases. This meeting went off without a hitch because not only was the agent ultra-prepared, but having representatives present in the room who could answer specific product or design questions allowed for an environment where the audience could make comfortable and confident decisions. The dynamic of this meeting was incredible!

When outside the office, where might I find you?

In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, golfing, and hanging out with my adult son, daughter and new granddaughter who all live locally.  My wife Lisa of 29 years and I also enjoy traveling internationally and have visited Portugal, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Scotland and hope to soon visit Shanghai, China.
